BRIEF
NBA superstar LeBron James owns a digital platform in the United States called Uninterrupted dedicated to sports oriented lifestyle content. The NBA produces an annual exhibition game in Johannesburg, South Africa pitting NBA players from Africa against other NBA players. Thegoalwas to take advantage of 30+ NBA players being in South Africa and produce lifestyle content that introduces a U.S. audience to South Africa talent and lifestyle experiences while simultaneously expanding Uninterrupted’sbrand to a South African audience.
OUR SOLUTION
ACA worked with hosts of one of the Uninterrupted platforms podcast, Yvonne Orji and Roz Gold-Onwudeof Ball Girl Magic and curated and filmed a variety of experiences for the hosts including interviews with local entertainers from the fields of music, comedy and sports; produced a series of comedic vignettes; produced sight seeing experiences including a yacht cruise interview, tour of Nelson Mandela’s house and other South African landmarks. We also arranged for local South African media to interview the host and introduce the Uninterrupted mission to a South African audience.
CULTURAL SHIFT
We produced over 20 hours of content for Uninterrupted, audio podcasts and audio visual content, successfully introduced the Uninterrupted audience to South Africa garnering millions of impressions and views of the content while fostering a desire on behalf of Uninterrupted to engage in future activations in South Africa. We also were able to introduce a South African audience to the Uninterrupted platform.
