Shalate is a 24 year old actress and actress born in Mafikeng and bred in Pretoria. She attributes her singing passion to her mother,who would print the lyrics to her favourite songs so she could learn and perform them at dinner time. Being in an artistic family,it’s no surprise that the arts is where she finds herself most at home. From drama classes at the age of 8 to being a well known actress at 24 Shalate has worked hard to achieve a successful acting career while also obtaining her honours in film and television at wits.

She is popularly known for her role as Shoki on one of Etv’s most viewed and loved shows House of Zwide and as Nthabi on Netflix’s new epic series Go! Her music career is just starting out but the dream has been there since the tender age of 5. She would class her sound as a mix of R&B/trap soul infused with soulful harmonies.
