Hailing from Empangeni Celeste moved to Durban to study entertainment technology at the Durban University of Technology. Her acting debut was in the Mzansi Magic telenovela isiBaya, playing the role of Siphokasi Zungu. She featured on the Blacks Only comedy showcase and performed a set at the South African Comic’s Choice Awards. Celeste also performed in the first Stand Up Zulu comedy show at the Durban Playhouse. 

Celeste won a Golden Horn Award as Best Supporting Actress in a TV Soap, at The South African Music Awards (SATMA). In 2019 she won a Flying Solo Award and Comedy G Award at the Savanna Comic’s Choice Awards. 

In 2019 Celeste starred in and produced the film – Looking for Love on Showmax and was a part of Lockdown Season 3. Celeste co-hosted one of South Africa’s most watched Sunday night television shows called Our Perfect Wedding which led to her hosting a spin off of the show called Gift of love. She also has just been confirmed as the host of Will He Say Yes for season 2 and season 3 airing on DSTV.
