SNE MBATHA
Sne Mbatha is an award-winning South African dancer, actress, choreographer and stunt woman. Sne played the role of Okankan in the remarkable 2022 film The Woman King, acting alongside Viola Davis and Thuso Mbedu. Amongst performing, Sne became the face of Africa’s MTV Base Dance Nation and lead creative teams in planning and choreographing the DSTV Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards. Before breaking into the industry, Sne participated in the South African version of So You Think You Can Dance in 2010. She is widely known for choreographing local and African awards like the GloCAF awards in Nigeria consecutively for 2 years. She was also featured as a lead dancer in Omarion’s 2017 music video for his hit single ‘Distance’.
In June 2021, Sne debuted her acting career and played the role of Zinhle, the 3rd lead actress in the Netflix series JIVA! Sne believes in the importance of self worth and being knowledgeable in the business of the entertainment industry. Sne is all about pushing the envelope and breaking any boundaries that may keep you from growing. Her biggest stance in life is to pursue discomfort in a way that leads to growth and development.
